Antique expert: Keep the toy boxes

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

OKLAHOMA CITY - According to our antique expert, it pays to keep the box.

A premium picture, which was purchased from a yard sale, is worth big bucks!

Because of the items on this premium, it is actually worth more than most of the premiums you may come across.

Since it is not in perfect condition, it is worth from $75 to $95.

A little sewing set for a child is not an uncommon item to find at an auction and is usually worth about $35 to $45.

However, this one is special simply because it has the cardboard box, which increases the value to $95 to $125.

Check if you have any treasures around your house that could be worth money!

Bring your antiques to local antique expert Matt McNeil, ISA CAPP, and he will determine if they are Trash or Treasure.

You may have two of your family heirlooms, antiques or prized possessions appraised for free. Large items like furniture and weapons are not applicable.
