Two tightly controlled official Russian TV stations have accidentally broadcast classified military information for all to see, according to the Russian news agency ‘Tass.’

“Certain secrets indeed were caught on camera,” Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters Wednesday. “That is why later they were deleted.”

The spokesman said he did not know about any steps taken to punish those responsible.

“In the future, we will certainly take preventive measures not to let it happen again,” Peskov said.

The footage was taken at a meeting on defense issues chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
