CHICKASHA, Okla. – A local police department is breaking protocol for a good cause.

The Chickasha Police Department is participating in ‘No Shave November’ to raise money for 16-year-old Mia Moore.

Moore was diagnosed with a Ewings Sarcoma tumor when she was 15-years-old.

Since last December, Moore has undergone nine months of chemotherapy and 33 sessions of proton radiation therapy.

In honor of her fight, officers in Chickasha are growing out their beards, which is typically against departmental policy.

If you would like to match the officers’ donations to support Moore, contact the police department.
