NORMAN, Okla. — Bob Stoops has granted Quarterback Trevor Knight a full release from the University of Oklahoma.

The announcement of the release came Thursday, Dec. 10, according to SoonerScoop.com.

The junior, who played in six games during the 2015 regular season, is expected to graduate this semester, which will free him up to transfer to another school this spring and become immediately eligible for the 2016 season.

Sources say Knight has several potential transfer destinations, including Kansas State University, Georgia, Oregon, and Southern Methodist.

The list of teams who will likely offer Knight a scholarship is expected to grow.
