HEALDTON, Okla. — A man was shot and killed by police Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Apex around 1 p.m., regarding a domestic disturbance.

When they arrived, police say Jonathan Wardlow, 36, was “acting erratically.”

Wardlow reportedly tried to hit an officer, so the officer pulled out his taser and told Wardlow to get on the ground.

Wardlow complied with the demand. But when the officer went to handcuff the suspect, he got on top of the officer and took his taser, according to reports.

Officials say Wardlow pointed the taser at the officer and that’s when the officer pulled his gun and shot the suspect.

Jonathan Wardlow was fatally injured.

Agents have interviewed several people who witnessed the shooting.

Wardlow was from Healdton but allegedly has no connection to the address where the shooting took place.
