Highways are snow-packed and icy and visibility is very low in Cimarron County. US-287 is closed between the Texas and Colorado borders and travel is discouraged in Cimarron County. Road conditions are slick in other parts of the Panhandle as Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews continue treating highways and bridges.

If travel is necessary, drivers are urged to use extreme caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and when entering or exiting highways. Drivers should stay at least 200 ft. behind road clearing trucks and equipment and not attempt to pass.

If drivers must travel out of state they are urged to check area road conditions before heading out.
