BELIZE — After the “oops” heard ’round the world, Steve Harvey still isn’t missing a beat.

Harvey mistakenly crowned the wrong Miss Universe 2016. He announced Miss Colombia as the winner when it was supposed to be Miss Philippines.

But the comedian took full responsibility for the blunder, and the Miss Universe Pageant officials have already asked him to return as the host for the 2016 pageant.

Chief Content Officer for “Miss Universe” Mark Shapiro said on Jim Rome’s CBS Sports Radio Show that the “Family Feud” host was “very remorseful” about the error and that Harvey was “absolutely” welcome back to host the 2016 pageant in Belize.

Shapiro said Harvey “did a great job. He was funny, he was informative, he’s high energy, he’s got a great following… I definitely want him back, and I would hate to see him not come back. He’s going to want a shot to redeem himself.”

The Belize Tourism Board is on board with the decision to ask Harvey back, noting that he handled his mistake “with class.”
