Yukon standoff ends peacefully after 16 hours

YUKON, Okla. – After nearly 16 hours, a standoff in Yukon ended peacefully.

The standoff started around noon Tuesday.

Three bondsmen came to the shop, where the suspect was working to serve a warrant.

That’s when the suspect began shooting.

The bondsmen were able to get out of the building without being hurt.

Police say the suspect ran into a garage where he barricaded himself in.

Roads were shut down, as police and tactical team members worked the scene.

Police say at least four shots were fired from inside a dent repair shop where the suspect was barricaded.

Police say the standoff ended just after 4 a.m.

The suspect was taken into custody peacefully.

He has been identified as Daniel Harris.
