Cleveland County man pleads guilty to embezzling money made from pool installation company

OKLAHOMA CITY — Stephan Edgar Cook, 42, pleaded guilty to six felony counts including embezzlement on Monday.

While operating his business, Cabanas Plus, Cook was contracted to install in-ground swimming pools for five separate homes.

Cook collected a series of payments from each customer and embezzled the money for personal use.

He was charged with five embezzlement charges and one charge of a pattern of criminal offenses, to which to pleaded guilty. Cook received a 25 year suspended sentence and is ordered to pay $269,000 in restitution.
