Oklahoman claims $1 million with winning Powerball ticket

OKLAHOMA CITY – While many people are hoping to hit it big in one of the largest Powerball jackpots in history, one Oklahoman recently claimed a $1 million lottery ticket.

The $1 million winning Powerball ticket, which was from the Sept. 9, 2015 drawing, was claimed at the lottery’s headquarters by a trust.

The winner matched all five white balls, adding up to $1 million.

After taxes, the trust will receive $710,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Mustang Food Mart, located at 8001 S.W. 74th St. in Oklahoma City.
