Bob Barry, Jr

KFOR has learned its former colleague and friend Bob Barry, Jr. has been voted the Oklahoma Sportscaster of the Year for 2015 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

It’s the seventh time Bobby has been honored with the state’s top sportscaster honor.

He also won in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012.

Bobby was killed in a motorcycle accident on June 20, 2015, but his memory and legacy will be felt forever by us here at KFOR and by Oklahoma sports fans across the state.

The Oklahoma Sportscaster of the Year award is voted on by sportscasters and sportswriters in the state of Oklahoma that are members of the NSSA.

Bob Jr. will be honored along with the other state sportscasters of the year this summer in Salisbury, North Carolina, the home of the NSSA Hall of Fame.
