MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. – A teacher in Georgia is on administrative leave after video surfaced of a student being dragged out of a classroom.
When he refused, she said things escalated quickly.
“She started pulling the hood and it was moving the desk and the desk went up against the wall and then she threw him out the desk,” Ford said.
Ford says the teacher claimed the boy threatened her and that the teacher wanted to press charges.
However, she says that was before the video surfaced.
“If we didn’t have the video and she pressed charges, then this would have been on him,” Ford says.
School officials say the teacher is on paid administrative leave and an investigation is ongoing.
Ford says her stepson was not injured and is back at the school, adding she is pleased with how the district handled the situation.
