Oklahoma Teacher of the Year reaches final four for national award

NORMAN, Okla. — Norman Public Schools is proud to announce that their very own Shawn Sheehan is a finalist for National Teacher of the Year.

“Big news from Norman Public Schools! Our very own Shawn Sheehan is a finalist for National Teacher of the Year! Congratulations, Shawn, we are extremely proud of you.”

Sheehan was named 2016 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year back in August so he could wear the award for the next school year.

He teaches special education and Algebra I at Norman High School.

President Obama will recognize the winner of National Teacher of the Year this spring.
