The Dallas Mavericks sat their entire normal starting lineup, and the Oklahoma City Thunder took advantage, beating Dallas 108-89 on Wednesday night, January 13 at Chesapeake Arena in Oklahoma City.

Two other players had to leave the game early, stemming from an incident in the second quarter.

Russell Westbrook got tangled up with J.J. Barea and both players shoved at each other, that caused several other players to get involved, and more scuffling ensued.

Five technical fouls were called, with Westbrook and Barea each getting one, Serge Ibaka getting one, and Charlie Villanueva two technicals and an ejection.

Villanueva grabbed at Westbrook’s throat, then got into a shoving match with Ibaka.

Later in the second quarter, Westbrook was called for a second technical, as he swiped at Barea following a foul.

The second technical got Westbrook ejected.

In the meantime, the Thunder dominated, leading 65-42 at halftime, and cruising to the easy win.

Kevin Durant had 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Ibaka had a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Thunder tied a season high with 15 3-pointers in the win.

Dion Waiters added 18 points off the bench.

The Mavericks didn’t play their normal starters, including Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons, Deron Williams, and Wes Matthews.

Dallas wanted to rest them on the second night of a back-to-back.

OKC improves to 28-12 on the season.

The Thunder host Minnesota on Friday, January 15 at 6:00 at Chesapeake Arena.
