TEMPE, Ariz. – Authorities say a woman is behind bars following a deadly attack after a minor car accident.

Police told 12 News that 32-year-old Holly Davis side-swiped and rear-ended a car, driven by 19-year-old Yue Jiang.

Officers say Jiang’s passenger got out of her car to check the damage and saw that Davis had a gun.

According to officers, Davis walked up to Jiang’s window and opened fire. The teenager was struck several times, which caused her to slam her car into another family’s vehicle.

“I started crying because it was just scary to think that somebody is losing their life right in front of us,” Tia Toddy told 12 News. Jiang’s car hit Toddy’s vehicle after she was shot.

A police report says Davis fled the scene and hid her car, pistol and clothing before officers arrested her.

Davis has been convicted of a felony and shouldn’t have been able to have a gun.

“She took a life,” Toddy said. “I know she has no remorse if she’s going to shoot somebody over a fender bender.”
