Police: Daycare owner waited 14 minutes to call 911 as baby was choking

GEORGETOWN, Texas – A woman who operates a daycare out of her home is facing charges after an infant died in her care.

According to KXAN, 37-year-old Holly Harrison is facing charges of injury to a child and tampering with evidence.

Authorities say a 5-month-old baby, named Brody, died while at Harrison’s ‘All About Kids’ home daycare. on Jan. 13.

Investigators say the boys’ official cause of death is still being investigated, but they say the baby may have choked on a mitten.

Texas authorities say Harrison lied to them about details of the baby’s death.

According to court documents, it took Harrison 14 minutes to call 911 after Brody started choking.

Records also show Harrison called a friend and texted her daughter before calling for help.

The full investigation is expected to take two weeks.
