Special education teacher accused of having inappropriate relationship with student

A 17-year-old male student and the Valley High School teacher accused of sexual misconduct with him exchanged more than 13,000 text messages, many sexual in nature, according to the arrest report.

LAS VEGAS – A special education teacher in Las Vegas is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with one of her students.

Jillian LaFave, a 25-year-old special education teacher, is accused of taking advantage of a student between the age of 16 and 17 years old.

The student has a learning disability, KSNV reports.

An arrest report states that there were more than 13,000 texts exchanged between LaFave and the student over a three-month period.

Many of those texts were sexual in nature.

LaFave allegedly engaged in multiple incidents of inappropriate contact, including kissing and touching inside her classroom.

According to KTNV, the teen was upset after he found out LaFave was under investigation and said that he loved her.

LaFave was arrested and charged with Sexual Misconduct with a Student.
