EDMOND, Okla. – Edmond officers say they have tracked down a couple of thieves using cloned credit cards.

Police say a loss prevention officer at Sam’s on I-35 got suspicious when the pair tried to buy a large number of gift cards and all but one of their credit cards was declined.

Officers met the pair, later identified as Hubert Baldoquin and Hector Ortiz-Castillo, in the parking lot, where they found $23,000 worth of gift cards in the pair’s possession.

Edmond police say the gift cards were purchased with at least 19 counterfeit or cloned credit cards.

The men were arrested for false making or embossing credit or debit cards.
