District officials: Former student made threat to Moore High School

MOORE, Okla. – District officials in Moore say a former student made a threat to Moore High School.

According to a letter sent out to parents, official say the police were “immediately notified and any student directly involved was contacted along with their parents.”

As a result of the threat, officers with the Moore Police Department and the Oklahoma City Police Department began investigating.

As a precaution, additional members of law enforcement were moved to the Moore High School campus.

“It’s unfortunate incidents like these occur but be assured we will investigate each and every one of them. Please know that due to the sensitivity of certain incidents, we are required to look deeper into the facts and ensure the credibility of the information before sharing it with everyone. Thank you for having faith in our district and know that we are always concerned about the safety of your children,” the letter from Superintendent Dr. Robert Romines read.
