OKLAHOMA - Del City police said they have arrested two teens who are suspected of robbing a 91-year-old woman outside a McDonalds.

Police said a 15- and 16-year-old were arrested not long after Colleen Godsy was mugged.

Officers believe one teenager is the alleged attacker, and the other is the getaway driver.

Del City investigators said the 15-year-old has a violent criminal history and may even be connected with a robbery case in Oklahoma City.

Wednesday, it was a sigh of relief for Godsy when she got a call saying her suspected attacker was locked up.

"I thought, 'Oh my goodness, wonderful!'" Godsy laughed.

A painful bruise reminds her of the terrifying encounter.

"The last two nights when I've gone to bed all of this stuff is just running through my mind and I think, 'Oh, for the first time in a long long time, I almost felt afraid,'" Godsy said.

About an hour after Godsy was mugged, Del City police caught up with two teenage boys.

"They observed a vehicle that was following extremely close behind another semi-truck, so they engaged it and attempted to stop it in a traffic stop," said Capt. Ted Kleber. "The vehicle didn't stop of course, and they ended up in a short pursuit."

The chase ended when the teens crashed into a thrift store totaling the car.

Inside the stolen vehicle, police said, were Godsy’s credit cards.

"One of the things that makes me so sad is the fact that they've started off 15 and 16 years old in crime," Godsy said. "So, maybe it's a good thing they got caught before they did something a lot worse."

Godsy said she is still angry but is working to forgive the teens.

"I'll have to not be mad at them for my own satisfaction in order that I can erase it from my mind, and I will in time," Godsy said.

NewsChannel 4 showed you a surveillance photo taken inside a Family Dollar - the same store one of Godsy’s cards was used at.

Del City police said one of the teens they took into custody was wearing the exact outfit the person is seen wearing in the photo.

Officers added that one juvenile slipped out of handcuffs and tried to make a run for it but did not get far.

Both teens are now in juvenile detention.
