Police: Disturbing video shows daycare director abusing child

CLERMONT, Fla. – A daycare director in Florida was arrested for child abuse after disturbing video was given to police.

The video was captured by a daycare employee who said she was uncomfortable with the director’s behavior, WKMG reports.

Investigators say the video shows Kimberly Reid, 41,  hitting a 4-year-old boy several times, then lifting him several feet in the air and dropping him on the ground.

The woman insists she was only playing with the child.

Police say Reid was already on probation out of Orange County for welfare fraud and grand theft.

Authorities do not believe the child was seriously harmed.
