Man robbed while picking up cans dies from injuries, no arrests

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities are searching for clues related to a shooting that occurred last spring.

On April 10, 2015, police were called to a shooting near S.W. 31st & Virginia Ave.

They found 67-year-old Raul Olivarj lying on the ground.

Investigators say Olivarj was picking up cans when he was robbed and shot by a stranger.

The bullet severed his spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down.

On Feb. 3, officers learned that Olivarj passed away from his injuries.
