Free dental clinic

OKLAHOMA CITY – Thousands of Oklahomans will receive free dental care today.

From crowns to cleanings, the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy will be providing free dental care to those in need.

“For some patients, that could be their immediate need. It is something that is an acute infection that’s causing severe pain, altering their daily life. For others, they might get their teeth cleaned, their fillings done, that might be all the care they need for the entire year,” said Dr. Lindsay Smith, with the Oklahoma Dental Association.

Over the last six years, Oklahoma Mission of Mercy Clinic has treated almost 11,000 patients, totaling more than $7 million in donated dental services.

The free two-day clinic is Feb. 5 and Feb. 6 at the Cox Convention Center.

No appointments are needed, but it is first come, first served. Doors open at 5 a.m. each day.
