OKLAHOMA CITY-This is a subject close to all of the KFOR family's hearts. It has been almost 8 months since we lost our dear friend, Bob Barry, Jr. As you can imagine it has been a time of mourning and reflection.

Each day, our staff carries on, trying to match the broadcasting excellence Bobby and his Dad were known for. We know the Barry men were unique and absolutely irreplaceable.

But during the past months, we did what we know they would have wanted. We conducted a nationwide search to find out next KFOR Sports Director.

The best candidate from all of the applicants was among our own family.

We are happy to announce that Brian Brinkley will be the new Sports Director. He learned from the best, first under Bob Senior, then under "Junior's" direction. Brian has been with the KFOR team more than 25 years.

We are confident that both BBJ and Senior would be pleased and happy with this decision.

"I'm humbled to be carrying on their legacy. They obviously set the standard for sports broadcasting in Oklahoma," said Brinkley. "Bob Senior took me under his wing and told me everything I needed to know about doing this job the *right* way. And then in the years that followed, Bobby showed me *how* to get the job done, while still having a lot of fun doing it. I'm thrilled to be taking on this new responsibility, but most of all, I'm just happy to carry on their legacy here at Channel 4 and I want to make Bobby, his dad, and the entire Barry family proud. Now, I can almost hear Bob Senior telling me to 'Get on with it', so as I was taught, I'm going to follow orders."
