ANADARKO, Okla. - Police in Anadarko are searching for two young men considered armed and dangerous in connection to a deadly shooting Sunday night.

Officials believe it all started with a drug deal in a neighborhood near the 300 block of E. Texas St.

The victim was found shot in a drainage ditch.

"I want to move, it's crazy," said Michelle Whitewolf.

Michelle Whitewolf has lived in this area for nearly 17 years and says she has watched her neighborhood go downhill.

"There's a lot of drugs going on around here I think, and that's what's causing a lot of this stuff and a lot of kids think they're gangsters," said Whitewolf.

Since late December, there have been three homicides in Anadarko.

"Obviously, we want it to stop," said Chief Jason Smith, with the Anadarko Police Department.

Police say they received a 911 call about gun shots around 8:15 p.m. on Sunday.

When officers got to the scene, they found a man shot, fighting for his life.

Emergency responders tried to save him, but it was too late. He died later at the hospital.

Now, police are searching for 19-year-old Kaleb Knipp and 19-year-old Christian Rolan-Madina in connection to this deadly shooting.

"I would certainly consider them armed and dangerous, yes," said Smith.

With violence too close to home, others residents say they are scared for their safety.

"Just pray and just hope that nothing happens to my family, that my family be safe," one resident said.

"There was a life taken and I feel bad for that," said Whitewolf.

Others also hope that whoever is responsible is arrested soon.

"Spend time in jail because you took a life, you owe one," said Whitewolf.

If you know any information about the suspects’ whereabouts, you’re asked to call Anadarko police at (405) 247-2411.
