MUSTANG, Okla.. – Crews are warning Oklahomans about increased fire danger as strong winds batter the state.

Shortly after 2 p.m., Mustang firefighters were called to the 900 block of S. Clear Springs Rd. on a grass fire.

It appears the fire started by the road, and even got close to at least one house.

Fire crews were able to put the fire out quickly, and no injuries were reported.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department has deemed Monday as a Red Flag Fire Alert day.

Firefighters are encouraging everyone to be extremely careful outside, adding that a little spark can spread to a large blaze.
