YALE, Okla. – Nine students were on board when a school bus rolled over east of Yale, Oklahoma Tuesday morning.

Officials with the Department of Public Safety say the school bus driver, 80-year-old Roy Gazaway, was driving the bus northbound on Underwood Rd. when the bus went left of center.

Gazaway over-corrected and then departed the roadway, officials say.

The bus went into a ditch, up an embankment, struck a tree and rolled over.

Nine students were on board at the time of the accident.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Investigators determined the cause of the collision was that Gazaway was driving an unsafe speed for a gravel road.
