RAYMORE, Mo. – If you are running short on time and need to grab something to eat, Sonic may be your drive-thru of choice.

However, some customers in Missouri say they have been receiving a sermon along with their meal.

The Sonic Drive-In in Raymore, Missouri has been attaching stickers with Bible verses to orders.

It seems most customers are supportive of the move, but Sonic says it is also working to not offend anyone if they do not want a sticker on their bag.

“I really don’t have any problems with it,” Torrance told KSHB. “It’s their store, restaurant; they can do whatever they want.”

In response to the customer who didn’t want the sticker, Sonic posted the following reply:

“You have my apologies. All you need to do is ask that it not be on your bag. We have other stickers. I would only put it on the people that ask for its bags, but the number of people that want it far out number the people who do not.”

Sonic is a public company but many of the drive-ins are franchise owned, so owners can make their own decisions about the direction of the restaurant.

“We don’t have a policy backing this. It’s the decision by the franchisee that owns and operates that specific drive in,” said Jason Acock, spokesperson for Sonic.
