Moore police officer on his way to assist in high-speed chase involved in crash

DEL CITY, Okla. – A police officer on his way to assist in a high-speed chase was involved in a crash early Monday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m., a police chase started in Moore after officers attempted to pull over a vehicle that was possibly stolen.

The vehicle refused to stop, leading police on a chase through Del City, Midwest City, and into Choctaw.

Authorities say they lost the suspects somewhere in Choctaw.

A Moore police officer was trying to catch up to the chase when he collided with a car that turned in front of the officer near S.E. 29th and Sunnylane in Del City.

The officer and the other driver involved in the crash were both transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Fortunately, they are both expected to be okay.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect who led police officers on the chase.
