OKLAHOMA - Police are looking for a man suspected of molesting boys while he worked at an Oklahoma day care.

They said D'Angelo Evans was fired from Winning Beginnings Childcare last month after he was seen kissing a young boy in the kitchen area of the day care.

Police learned about a DHS investigation into this incident last month.

The agency has been looking into several claims that led to the day care being shut down.

We spoke to the mother of one of the victims who is pleading for someone to turn Evans in.

“Please, turn him in, so he doesn’t hurt anyone else, and so he can pay for what he has done to my son and everyone else,” said the victim’s mother.

It was a letter on the door of the day care that started it all for one Oklahoma City mom.

“About two and half weeks ago, I went to pick up my child, and they gave a letter saying they had to shut the doors. They didn’t give any explanation to why,” she said.

That’s when she began asking questions.

She said what her son told her about a male day care employee was devastating.

“He said the man put his hands down his pants and said he only did it to boys because he said he didn’t like girls and that it happened to all the boys in his classroom,” she said.

The boy identified the employee as Evans, a teacher at the day care.

He’s now charged with eight counts of lewd acts with a child and two counts of forcible oral sodomy.

“He said he told him no, he asked first. He told him no, but he continued,” she said.

The boy told his mom the abuse happened more than once.

“I’m just disgusted and outraged, and I hurt for my son, that he’s been put through torture by just a sick individual for no reason, and for all the other boys that it happened to,” she said.

Several boys have come forward with similar stories of abuse happening at the day care in different bathrooms, and one incident in the day care kitchen.

“A coworker came in and saw him kissing one of the children. Not like a kiss on the forehead or on the cheek. This was a completely inappropriate kiss,” said Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Dept.

Evans was fired shortly after, and DHS started an investigation.

The victim’s mom feels the day care should have done more to protect the boys.

“I hold them just as responsible. They had to know something and, when they did find out, they didn’t alert the parents to tell us, to check to see if our kids are okay. Nothing. She just tried to cover it up,” she said.

We looked into the Evans’ background and, when he was hired at Winning Beginnings in 2014, he did have a fingerprint and background check, which came back clear.

He's been arrested on unrelated property crimes in the past.

We made several calls to the number listed for the day care.

We didn't get an answer.

For now, it remains closed.

No word on if it will reopen.

As for Evans, police said if you know where he is to turn him in.

DHS said this is an on-going investigation.

They also remind parents that you can check their website to see if a complaint has been filed about your child’s day care.
