Earthquakes continue to shake northwestern Oklahoma

Earthquakes continue to rattle northwestern Oklahoma on Saturday.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported three earthquakes near Fairview.

  • Around 10:03 a.m., UGSG recorded a 2.5 magnitude earthquake 19 miles from Fairview.
  • Around 3:02 p.m., UGSG recorded a 3.2 magnitude earthquake 19 miles from Fairview.
  • Around 3:02 p.m., UGSG recorded a 3.4 magnitude earthquake 17 miles from Fairview.
  • Around 3:34 p.m., UGSG recorded a 2.8 magnitude earthquake 17 miles from Enid.

Today’s earthquakes continue two weeks after UGSG recorded a 5.1 earthquake 17 miles from Fairview.

The state Corporation Commission recently unveiled a plan on Feb. 16 to address earthquakes on the western side of the state.
