OKLAHOMA CITY - A family in Oklahoma City is heartbroken following a deadly fire Saturday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, firefighters were called to a house fire in northeast Oklahoma City.

Tragically, family members say 74-year-old Dolly Green died in the blaze.

"She's got her wings now," Karen Kelley, Green's daughter said, fighting back tears. "We got the call at 6:20 this morning. She was found near the kitchen door, they said the smoke got her before the fire did. She was trying to get out, eight feet from the kitchen door."

Green is described as a woman of faith who didn't hold back from spreading the love of God.

"She lit up a room," Kelley remembers. "She would write people she didn't even know, she would write letters every day to guys in prison she'd never even met."

"She's the best person in the whole world, she's going to be missed," Rose Eden, Green's eldest daughter said.

Now, Green's daughters say she joined her husband of 57 years, who just died last year.

"She's got a good homecoming, daddy was waiting for her," Kelley said.

"I love you momma, and I love you daddy," Eden said, fighting back tears.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
