RADFORD, Va. – A Secret Service employee is under fire after he was caught allegedly slamming a photographer to the ground during a Donald Trump rally.

Christopher Morris, a photographer for Time magazine, told VICE News that he was covering the Trump rally in Virginia when he stepped outside the press pen, which is an area fenced off for the media.

“I stepped 18 inches outside of the pen and he grabbed me by the neck and started choking me and slammed me to the ground,” Morris said.

When the employee told Morris to move, Morris allegedly responded with a curse word.

At that point, witnesses say the employee grabbed Morris by the neck and slammed him onto the ground.

The Secret Service released the following statement:

“The Secret Service is aware of an incident involving an employee of the Secret Service that occurred earlier today in Radford, VA. At this time, our local field office is working with their law enforcement partners to determine the exact circumstances that led up to this incident. The Secret Service will provide further details as warranted once additional facts surrounding the situation are known.”
