ENID, Okla. – Three children are in hot water after sneaking out of their home and taking their family’s car on a joy ride.

Enid police officers were called to the 1800 block of W. Rupe on Tuesday afternoon for an accident involving children.

Tom Rhyne, with the Enid Police Department, told the Enid News & Eagle that 3-year-old twins and a 6-year-old sneaked out of their home and grabbed the keys to their family’s Suburban.

After climbing into the vehicle, they were able to put the car in reverse, hitting another car as they traveled down the street.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported and the children’s parents were on the scene.
