Teen allegedly kills parents in their sleep

ODESSA, Texas —

A 17-year-old is accused of fatally shooting both of his parents while they slept.

James Gabriel McDonald told his sister he was going to shoot their parents moments before she heard gunshots, according to a court affidavit.

He reportedly confessed to the crime during a police interview.

Steven LeSueur is the Communications Officer for the Odessa Police Department said based on the facts and circumstances found in the investigation a capital murder warrant was obtained.

The double homicide has left the McDonald’s neighbors like Justin Lackey in shock.

“It’s tough it’s tough, especially right next to your home.  Anything that happens like this is tough especially when it’s this close to your home. You just have to protect your family….,” he said.
