Marie told producers she wanted to audition for the show to carry on her mother’s dreams of being a successful Jazz singer.

Marie took the stage and performed “Mad World” by Tears for Fears/Gary Jules.

It soon became a battle between Team Christina and Team Blake for Marie.

Ultimately, she chose Team Christina.

She is isn’t the first Oklahoman to earn a spot on the show this season.

Kata Hay, from Tulsa, also earned her spot on Team Christina with her performance of f Gretchen Wilson’s “Redneck Woman.”
