Update: I-40 reopened after semi-truck rolls along interstate

UPDATE: Troopers say I-40 is back open after a semi-truck  rolled over Tuesday morning.

The interstate was shut down for 90 minutes while crews cleared the scene.


CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. – As heavy rain continues in central Oklahoma, drivers should be more cautious on the roadways.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a semi-truck overturned along I-40, near mile marker 122 on Tuesday morning.

Troopers closed down the interstate in that area around 9:30 a.m.

Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route while crews clear the area.
