The Oklahoma City Police Department is discrediting a rumor circulating on social media.

The rumor warns about a group of people kidnapping young girls for sex trafficking at the Bass Pro Shop in Bricktown, according to the social media post.

The rumor also states the group might be targeting children and teenagers at the Oklahoma Youth Expo this weekend.

Police in a statement on their Facebook page wrote they have no evidence to believe the rumor is true.
