ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A professional mover decided to take a few minutes out of his day to put a smile on the face of a resident at a retirement center.

The College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving employee, who was identified online as AJ Carter-Johnson, spotted a piano while moving furniture to a retirement community.

“I sat down at the piano while my friend, Troy, got some signatures. When he got back, he saw the woman listening so he pulled up a chair for her,” Carter-Johnson told Huffington Post. “What caught her attention was, I was playing ‘Hallelujah,’ and she walked over and said, ‘That’s one of my favorite songs,’ and asked if I could sing.”

He decided to serenade her with John Legend’s “Ordinary People.”

At the end of the song, she told him that her late husband used to play the piano and sing to her.

“I guess it took her back,” he said.
