QUEBEC, Canada – A wild escape from a Canadian detention center was caught on camera and was recently released during the trial of one of the escapees.

Authorities say 38-year-old Benjamin Hudon-Barbeau was a Hells Angels sympathizer and was accused of a series of unrelated crimes related to a drug turf war.

In 2013, Hudon-Barbeau and Danny Provencal escaped from a detention center after two accomplices hijacked a helicopter and forced its pilot to fly to the jail.

According to CBC, the pair then climbed up a rope as the chopper took them away from the jail.

A few hours later, police arrested the pair again.

A similar incident occurred in 2014 when three inmates also escaped via helicopter from a detention center near Quebec City.
