MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Police say they are searching for a man who is accused of kidnapping and torturing a Muskogee woman.

The attack occurred in October, but authorities struggled to identify one of the alleged attackers because he went by a nickname.

Recently, they were able to identify that suspect, and an arrest warrant has been issued for Jonathan Sustaire.

Investigators told FOX 23 that Sustaire and Rocky Butler kidnapped and assaulted a woman while holding her at gunpoint for hours.

Police say the alleged suspects believed the woman had stolen from them, and they were demanding money from her.

Amazingly, the victim was able to find a cell phone and texted her grandmother, asking her to call police.

Officers arrived at the motel where the victim was being held and arrested Butler at the scene.

However, they say Sustaire had already left the area.

If you have any information on Sustaire, call police.
