Box labeled ‘human remains’ turns out to be prank

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – A box that was labeled “human remains” concerned some residents in South Carolina on Thursday morning.

WBTW reports that a box that was covered in what appeared to be blood and was labeled as “human remains” was found near a ditch around 9:30 a.m. 

The box was taken to the Horry County Coroner’s Office, who found a deteriorating tomato and onion inside the box.
