OKLAHOMA CITY - While you may be trying to get in shape before summer, you may find inspiration from a Danish man who is running across America.

Henrik Svendsen was in Oklahoma City earlier this week as he works to raise money for foreign exchange students.

"I like the idea that when people they study, they come abroad to see other colleges, meeting other people. By that, they understand... we understand each other better and that makes the world a little smaller, and that's what we really need, to understand each other better," Svendsen said.

He started his journey in Santa Monica and is now taking Route 66 all the way to Chicago.

However, it hasn't been a walk in the park.

Svendsen suffered an injury to his leg and consulted with doctors while in Oklahoma City.

Svendsen is expected to finish his run in New York sometime this summer.
