Police have identified body found in Oklahoma River

OKLAHOMA CITY —

The body found in the Oklahoma River near Interstate 40 and Western has been identified.

The body was found Tuesday evening. Police have identified the man as Robert Wayne Addision Jr., 22.

Addison was released on March 9 from the Oklahoma County Jail. He was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, according to court records.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office has taken custody of the body. The case is pending a toxicology report.

An investigation continues to be ongoing, police said.
