A little girl is removed from her foster family under the Indian Child Welfare Act

A 6-year-old girl who is 1.5% Choctaw was taken from a foster home in California where she has lived for the past four years.

Her biological parents gave up custody, but the girl’s extended family in Utah has been fighting for custody under the Indian Child Welfare Act.

Is taking her from her foster family the right move for the little girl?
