LANCASHIRE, England – A mother in England says she has spent more than $58,000 on extensive cosmetic surgery so she can look more like her 35-year-old daughter.

Janet Horrocks, 57, told Barcroft TV that her extensive beauty regime includes regular Botox and fillers to keep up with her daughter, Jane Cunliffe.

“My goal was to look like Jane because I created her, so really she had a similar look to me and I didn’t have a long way to go,” Janet said. “She got her looks from me in the first place. All I am doing is just maintaining that look.”

Janet’s quest for eternal youth started in 2001.

Since then, she has had two boob jobs, an eye-lift, a nose job, hair extensions, laser resurfacing to her face, and received veneers.

“I remember looking at Jane and thinking ‘I used to have a figure like yours’,” she told Barcroft TV. “Time had taken its toll on my breasts and I felt like I needed some help to reverse the effects of time.”

When Janet first told her daughter what she was doing, Jane was not happy.

“When I first told her my new look was based on her, she was shocked and couldn’t understand why a mum would want to look like her daughter,” Janet said. “She was quite annoyed at first.”

Jane, who is firmly anti-surgery, told Barcroft TV that she found it difficult to accept what her mother was doing.

“I worried that eventually she’d look younger than me and it was upsetting because a daughter shouldn’t look older than her mother,” Jane said. “I felt like my youth had been taken away and it didn’t feel fair.”

When people started mistaking the two for sisters, Jane stopped going out in public with her mom.

Now, Jane says she has found a way to accept her mom’s choices.

“I think the amount of money that my mum has spent on cosmetic surgery is silly, but at the end of the day it makes her feel good, and it makes her feel confident,” she said.

Janet says she has no plans of slowing down with the plastic surgery.

“Jane didn’t like it at first but eventually she had no choice but to accept it,” she told Barcroft TV.  “The way I see it she got her looks from me anyway so she can’t really complain.”

“I don’t want to die a wrinkly old woman, I’ll be having that needle on my death bed,” she continued. “It’s my body and I’ll do what I want, if people don’t like it I’m not really fussed.”
