TIFTON, Ga. – A teacher has resigned after surveillance cameras caught her allegedly knocking down a special needs student.

According to WALB, the incident happened March 17 at the Tift County Pre-K Center.

The boy’s mother told WALB that her special-needs son just turned 4-years-old on Wednesday.

Surveillance cameras captured special education teacher Amelia Stripling allegedly thrusting her knee into the boy’s back, causing him to fall.

Fortunately, the boy’s mother says her son was not injured.

Stiripling, who worked for the district for more than 20 years, has since resigned.
