NATICK, Mass. —

People across the United States are rallying behind a Massachusetts woman whose husband died one day before she gave birth to their twin boys.

Dino Trubiano, 39, died in his sleep in his home early Friday morning, according to WXFT.

His wife of almost 10 years, Sue, awoke to noises followed by a gasp from her husband as he slept. She called 911, but despite their efforts, medical staff could not revive him.

As Sue gave birth by Caesarian section to two healthy boys on Saturday, her friend set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for the infants and mother.

The account generated $62,565 just three days after the infants were born.

The original goal of the account was $7,500.

Dino Trubiano’s sister, Tara McDonald, told WFXT, the outpouring of support from the local community has  been completely overwhelming.

“It makes me feel so good to know that I live in a place where people just do. They just do,” McDonald said.
