What to say, and what not to say after a friend loses a job

While the economy is still struggling in some sectors, some Oklahomans may find themselves without a job.

Etiquette expert CareySue Vega has a few tips for speaking to someone who has just been laid off.

Vega says it is always best to acknowledge the situation, but don’t try and fix it because many people may not be ready for that just yet.

Give them some time and then offer to talk through the situation with them.
