HOUSTON, Texas – Thousands of Sooner fans are expected to head south of the Red River to watch OU take on Villanova in the Final Four, but some road construction may cause you some delays.

Drivers in Norman are used to a bit of construction during their commute, but road closures can be especially difficult when relying on a GPS to get around town.

Here are a few of the road closures that could affect your trip to the Final Four:

  • Southbound lanes of Main St., between Congress and Prairie, will be closed from 6:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
  • The Final Four 4 Miler could also cause a few headaches for out-of-town drivers. The run begins on McKinney and Smith before heading east on McKinney and south on Milam. At that point, runners will head west on Jefferson, north on Smith and west on Dallas. They will make their way onto Allen Parkway inbound before doing a u-turn at Montrose Blvd. and continuing on Allen Parkway outbound. Then they head north on Bagby, east on McKinney until they reach the finish line near Smith. Streets affected by the run will close from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
  • The Final Four Dribble will be held Sunday and affects drivers on McKinney and Smith. Participants will then head north on Austin, east on McKinney and will end up at Hall A at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Streets will be closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
